Good Afternoon, lovelies!
I feel like this is déjà vu, but I am so sorry for such a long absence! Previously, I told you all that I was moving from New York to Atlanta and I've now been here for a little less than two years. To be honest, I miss New York--I mean, let's face it, there is no place like NY/C.
I've been trying to find my footing while down here--trying to figure out if fashion and beauty is still something I want to continue to pursue or if I want to move into a different direction entirely. I figure, I won't know until I continue to move forward and try new things while dabbling in the old.
I do miss writing and using this as my creative outlet, so I hope to be on here more often. As you also can see, I've been changing the look of the page around and trying to find the right name--I kind of like P U R P L E L E M O N A D E, it signifies such a pivotal point on time for me: the release of Beyoncé's "Lemonade" and the passing of the Legendary Prince.
P U R P L E L E M O N A D E also helps to me to continuously realize the importance of African influence and people (pick a continent) in the world--we are so creative and it's a beautiful thing.
So, with that said, I am here to update you all on a few new beauty favorites of mine:
1. Make Up For Ever - Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer
2. Kat Von D - Lock It Concealer + Corrector in Deep 36
3. NARS - Velvet Matte Skin Tint in Polynesia
4. Kat Von D - Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Witches
I have been using these products and can do a review if you would like me to do so--tweet this post with your requests!
I will also be reviewing a lot more Black Owned Brands and Companies because it is important to me --as a woman of color-- to support those that look like me and bolster their success. If you know if any brands or companies that are owned by POC (people of color) shout them out in the comment section or in a tweet and I'll look into them!
