'“They told me it’s all over the Internet, so I’m really, really happy,”' said Zoe Saldaña of becoming the newest face of L’Oréal Paris."
I don't think there is anyone in this world more excited (besides Zoe herself) than me to know that this beautiful face and spirit will be featured in L’Oréal Paris ads all across the world. Zoe Saldaña has been one of my favorite actresses since that somewhat awful movie "Crossroads" starring Britney Spears in 2002.
Never one to be in the spotlight (no pun intended), Zoe, in my opinion, is taking quite a gamble with being associated with L’Oréal--especially because of their unsolved debates of whether or not they test their ever evolving products on animals (which is a deal breaker for most--including myself)--but I think it's also the best move for her career.
I love the way she keeps her hair and makeup very simplistic while her outfits are daring and "outspoken". I feel that Zoe is an awesome choice because she is intelligent, respectful to herself, her image, and those around her--all the while letting her reputation speak for itself. I'm excited to see her new made-for-television mini-series, "Rosemary's Baby" and new movies "Nina" where she portrays the amazing Nina Simone and "Guardians of the Galaxy"--it's been quite a wait, Zoe!
In the end, Bravo to Ms. Zoe Saldaña for snagging this enormous deal--this is an amazing chance to continue to be the amazing role model to all of our young ladies, especially to our young ladies of color (black and Hispanic, alike). Bravo to L’Oréal Paris for picking such an influential person to represent your company. . . We'll talk about your habits of testing on animals later!
